Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Every Present Code Worth Redeeming

HG Staff

Kirby and the Forgotten Land has finally made the jump to Switch, and HAL Laboratory marked the occasion in classic Nintendo fashion: a stack of Present Codes, some of which expire before the end of September. Nineteen codes are live right now at the Waddle Dee-liveries counter in Waddle Dee Town, and redeeming them is a thirty-second ritual that fits the Switch’s suspend-and-resume flow perfectly — pause your run, type in a string, collect your loot, un-pause. No storefront, no login, no reason to put it off.

Here’s the full rundown of every active code, with dates where they apply — plus the one bonus code you’d never find on your own. The star coins are nice, but the real prize in this list is the Rare Stone: the endgame upgrade currency that decides whether you spend your portable sessions grinding treasure maps or actually playing.

The Two Codes That Won’t Wait for Your Backlog

First, the ones on a timer. せんだいでカラフルストア (the Sendai Colorful Store promo) runs until August 18 and pays out Star Coin x500, a Speed Up, and Starry Coin x150. げんきかいふくカービィカフェ (Kirby Café) is good through September 30 with Star Coin x500, an Energy Drink, and Starry Coin x150. Both trace back to Japanese pop-up events — the Colorful Store circuit and the Kirby Café rotation — and both type into the game exactly like any other code, so region isn’t a barrier. The expired ledger reads like a concert tour: Osaka, Kawasaki, Nagoya, Sendai, each with its own drop window.

That’s the pattern to internalize if you like staying current: HAL treats these as event windows, not evergreen promotions — unlike NSO’s icon drops, which cost Platinum Points, these two just need typing. On Switch, where a handheld player’s library is a rotating cast of five or six games, these are the two codes that will slip away while you’re busy elsewhere. Redeem them first — before anything else on this list.

Seventeen Permanent Codes, Fourteen Free Rare Stones

Now the good news: seventeen codes never expire, and the permanent stash is where HAL actually got generous. THANKYOUFORPLAYING and THANKYOUMETAKNIGHT each hand over three Rare Stones. THANKYOUKIRBY tops the coin chart at 1,000 Star Coins with a Rare Stone attached. STARCROSSEDWORLD, スターリーワールド, NEWADVENTURE, KIRBYTHEGOURMET, GAMENEWS, ADVENTUREGUIDE, and BIRTHDAY add one stone apiece — fourteen Rare Stones total, banked for Forgotten Land’s Copy Ability upgrade shop.

The rest of the permanent list is convenience: BRAWLINGCOLOSSEUM (500 coins plus Attack Boost), メールでディスカバリー (350 plus Attack Boost), CLEARDEMO (300), KIRBYSTORY (300), and a handful of Japanese promo codes such as キャラぱふぇカービィ and カービィカフェスペシャル (300 each). None of them require leaving your handheld or linking an account — no My Nintendo shipping wait, no points balance. If you’re on a plane, in a waiting room, or stealing ten minutes before bed, these are the codes that turn dead time into Rare Stones.
