My Nintendo Rewards Go Physical: Metal Display and Memo Pad

My Nintendo’s North American reward catalog just added two items that live on your desk, not on your screen. The Super Mario World desktop metal display and the Splatoon Raiders memo pad are the kind of low-commitment physical merch that fits naturally into a handheld gaming setup — small enough to pack alongside a Switch or sit next to a dock, useful enough to justify the Platinum Points. The metal display requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, while the memo pad is open to anyone with 550 Platinum Points, though both come with the usual $50 minimum order to dodge shipping fees.

A 6.8-Inch Slice of SNES History That Travels

The metal display stands 6.8 inches tall, with vibrant Mario World artwork printed on metal and mounted on a black acrylic base. For handheld gamers, its appeal is straightforward: it’s slim enough to slip into a bag alongside a Switch OLED, and it takes up negligible desk space compared to the Amiibo collections and oversized statues that dominate most gaming shelves. Nintendo’s listing warns of sharp edges and a protective film that may require a hair dryer for removal, so unboxing takes some care, but the end result is a durable, portable collectible. At 1,000 Platinum Points, it’s a reasonable ask for anyone who’s been racking up points through eShop purchases and mission completions.

A Memo Pad Engineered for 550 Points

The Splatoon Raiders memo pad is the more practical of the two: a 5.5-inch square pad with artwork from the upcoming Switch title, priced at 550 Platinum Points. It works as a quick-capture surface for gear loadouts, stage strategies, or whatever else surfaces during a portable session — and pairs naturally with the Splatoon Raiders Switch Online icons for a fully themed setup. Neither reward breaks new ground — physical My Nintendo rewards — like the recent Nintendo Switch Online icons — have been a staple for years — but both target the kind of handheld-adjacent use case that the program often overlooks in favor of wallpapers and download codes. For 1,550 total Platinum Points, you can grab both and have a desk setup that actually reflects the device in your hands.
